Mark Andrew Smith Limited, the software designers behind Spam Safe Mail, are now proud adopters of Round Cube for webmail, replacing Squirrel Mail that we had used for many years.  The login at https://webmail.markandrewsmith.net/ has now been updated for your convenience.

Round Cube and IMAP

As Round Cube Webmail is a web hosted IMAP client, if you are using IMAP across all of your devices, all the folders in your mailbox will be visible across all of your devices and computers.  We are recommending that all users migrate away from POP3 to IMAP for this advantage.

Round Cube is also mobile device friendly, and a big reason to use it on the go.

Microsoft Outlook and IMAP

In our opinion, Microsoft never implemented the IMAP protocol correctly, as any updates made by the user in Outlook are not written back to the server, so any emails stored in the Sent Items on the PC do not get updated on our IMAP servers.  With this, we recommend using Thunderbird instead, or instead, blind copy yourself in when sending emails from Outlook.

Updating your email settings

When you first log into your webmail, your email address and name will not be set.  This is because many of our clients use “mappings” between email domains and their mailboxes allowing for example acme.com and acme.org to reach the same mailbox.

In order to set your email identity, please go into Settings, then Identities, then your identity and complete your name and your email address.  See in this example the red circles working from left to right.

Optionally add any additional identities you want to send email for.

Optionally add an email signature footer

For each email identity, you can optionally add an email signature footer.  Click on the identity and add any images and text you like.

If you cannot see the HTML edit icons, click on the top left hand corner of the signature area, and they will then appear.  Remember to click save.
